From the time they are born, children begin acquiring literacy skills. Storytimes at the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library can help prepare your child to read with music, rhymes, fingerplays and other fun activities. All storytimes meet in the Large Meeting Room and are free and open to the public. You do not have to be a Berlin resident to attend.
Walkers & Wigglers (ages 18-36 months) Mondays, February 8 & 29 @ 10:30 AM Help your toddler work out her wiggles with this fun storytime. We'll read stories, sing and complete a light craft. The program will be followed by an open play session. No registration is required.
Peek-A-Baby (ages birth-18 months) Wednesday, February 10 @ 10:30 AM Help your baby begin a lifelong love of reading by joining us for this fun program. Babies will listen to stories, do lap sits, and sing songs. The program will be followed by an open play session. No registration is required.
Bookworms (ages 3-5) Thursdays, February 4 & 11 @ 10:30 AM Help your child develop a sense of independence and a love a reading with this lively storytime. Children will listen to books, sing songs, complete a craft and more!
Mother Goose on the Loose (ages birth-preschool) Friday, February 12 @ 10:30 AM Help your child develop early literacy skills while having a great time! This program combines music, movement, nursery rhymes, instruments and books. Aids in developing literacy skills, and strengthens bonds between caregiver and child. No registration is required.
Sleepytime Stories with Miss Sarah Tuesday, February 16 @ 6:30 PM Bond with your child and socialize with other families as we get ready for bedtime. Join us for this evening storytime where families can listen to stories, sing songs, and make a craft. No registration is required.
Bibliobop Tuesdays, February 23 @ 10:30 AM Are you ready to shake your sillies out? Join us for a story followed by some energetic dancing, singing and playing! Geared to toddlers and preschoolers. No registration is required.
