OneClickDigital is a downloadable services offered by the Berlin-Peck library and the Connecticut State Library. With OneClickDigital, you have access to hundreds of the eBooks and thousands of audiobooks. You can download titles to your computer, smartphone, tablet, and some versions of Kindle. Titles are automatically returned once your checkout period is over, so there are no late fees to worry about.

hoopla and OverDrive. OneClickDigital is only one of your options! The library also provides access to ebooks, audiobooks, video, and more, through hoopla and Overdrive. These services are more stable, and available on more devices.

Don’t go over your data limit! To avoid using wireless data, make sure to download when your device is connected to WiFi, and give it time to finish downloading.

The OneClickDigital app is currently unstable, and will be replaced some time in 2017. If you are experiencing difficulty in browsing, you can search/browse/borrow with a regular computer, then proceed to the download step on your phone or tablet. 

 

What do you need?

Before getting started, you will need to install the OneClickDigital app.

 

1. Set up the OneClickDigital app

Open the OneClickDigital app and follow the prompts to sign in (or sign up) using your Berlin-Peck Memorial Library card. If you have previously signed up for OneClickDigital, you may be asked to enter your password.

 

2. Search and browse

Begin by tapping SEARCH at the bottom of the screen.

  • If you already know what you’re looking for, tap inside the search box and type in a title, name, or keyword.
  • If you’d like to browse titles, tap the left menu (three lines) and choose ADVANCED SEARCH. You will be able to narrow your search by Genres and Audience.

 

3. Borrow

Tap a cover to go to the title’s details page (where you can see extra details for the title before you borrow it) then tap CHECK OUT. If a title is currently checked out, this button will be replaced with a HOLD button.

To see all of the titles you have borrowed, tap MY TITLES, then tap eAUDIO or eBOOK.

 

4. Download & Enjoy

Tap the download arrow to download your book, or tap DOWNLOAD ALL to download all your borrowed books.

Once a book has been downloaded, tap on the cover to begin.

Kindle Fire

These instructions are for Kindle Fire only. Your Kindle must be able to use apps in order to use OneClickDigital. OneClickDigital is not available for Kindle e-Ink readers.

Windows and Mac Computers

OneClickDigital can be used with some eInk eReaders. If you eInk eReader is compatible with Adobe Digital Editions (Nook, KOBO, Sony Reader) you may be able to transfer books onto your eReader.

 

What do you need?

Before getting started, you will need to install the following programs.

If you do not have an Adobe ID, register for free at accounts.adobe.com.

 

1. Go to the OneClickDigital website

Click the link above, or visit berlinpecklibct.oneclickdigital.com. You may want to bookmark this page for easy access.

 

2. Register or sign in

If you haven’t used OneClickDigital before, click REGISTER and follow the prompts to create your new OneClickDigital account using your Berlin-Peck Memorial Library card.

Returning users, click SIGN IN and enter your OneClickDigital username and password to sign in.

 

3. Search and browse

  • If you already know what you’re looking for, click SEARCH and type in a title, name, or keyword.
  • If you’d like to browse titles on a certain subject, click BROWSE, then hover your mouse over GENRE (under eAudio or eBook).
  • If you’d like to browse new or popular titles, click BROWSE, then choose from Most Popular, Best Sellers, or Newly Added.
  • To see only titles that are available now, click BROWSE, then ADVANCED SEARCH. Change All Availability to Available, and click SEARCH.

 

4. Borrow

Click a cover to go to the title’s details page (where you can see extra details for the title before you borrow it) then click CHECK OUT. If a title is currently checked out, this button will be replaced with a HOLD button.

To see all of the titles you have borrowed, click the user icon in the upper right, then click MY TITLES.

 

5. Download & Enjoy

Once you’ve borrowed a title, go to MY TITLES and click the download arrow to download your book.
