RBdigital is a downloadable services offered by the Berlin-Peck library and the Connecticut State Library. With RBdigital, you have access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines. You can download titles to your computer, smartphone, tablet, and some versions of Kindle. Titles are automatically returned once your checkout period is over, so there are no late fees to worry about.

Zinio and OneClickDigital are now RBdigital

OneClickDigital and Zinio have merged! You will still be able to use your old login information from both sites.

OneClickDigital

  • OneClickDigital app users will see a notice to update the app. Updating will replace the OneClickDigital app with the new RBdigital app.
  • The old OneClickDigital website has already been replaced by the new and improved RBdigital website.

Zinio for Libraries

  • Zinio for Libraries app users will see a notice to download the new RBdigital app.
  • The old Zinio for Libraries app is expected to stop working in September 2017.
  • The old Zinio website has been renamed, but the interface has not been changed.

Before using the RBdigital app on any device, you will need to set up your account(s) online.

  • Visit RBdigital to set up an ebook/audio account using your Berlin-Peck Memorial Library card.
  • Visit RBdigital magazines to set up a magazine account using your Berlin-Peck Memorial Library card.

 

Switching between ebook/audio and magazines in the app

Because RBdigital has separate accounts for ebook/audio (formerly OneClickDigital) and magazines (formerly Zinio), you will need to switch between accounts to access different materials in the mobile app.

  1. Tap the left menu button
  2. Tap Your Profiles
  3. For ebooks/audio, choose Berlin Peck Library
    For magazines, choose Zinio for Libraries Value Collection

Don’t go over your data limit! To avoid using wireless data, make sure to download when your device is connected to WiFi, and give it time to finish downloading.

 

What do you need?

Before getting started, you will need to install the RBdigital app.

 

1. Set up the RBdigital app

Open the RBdigital app and follow the prompts to sign in using your account information. You can use either account (ebook/audio or magazine) and add the second account next.

  • Select BERLIN PECK LIBRARY to add an ebook/audio account.
  • Select ZINIO FOR LIBRARIES to add a magazine account.

 

2. Add your second account (optional)

If you’re using both ebook/audio and magazine accounts, you will need to add your second account.

Tap the menu button, then YOUR PROFILES, then the plus sign +. This brings you back to the same screen you saw in step 1.

  • Select BERLIN PECK LIBRARY to add an ebook/audio account.
  • Select ZINIO FOR LIBRARIES to add a magazine account.

 

3. Search and browse

eBooks/audio and magazines use separate accounts, so you will need to switch between the two depending on what you’re looking for. Tap the menu, then YOUR PROFILES to switch between your ebook/audio and magazine accounts.

  • To search for ebooks, make sure you are signed into your ebook/audio account. Tap the menu, then tap EBOOKS.
  • To search for audiobooks, make sure you are signed into your ebook/audio account. Tap the menu, then tap AUDIOBOOKS.
  • To search for magazines, make sure you are signed into your magazine account. Tap the menu, then tap MAGAZINES.

Tap the magnifying glass in the upper right corner to search by title, name, or keyword.

 

4. Borrow

Tap a cover to go to the title’s details page (where you can see extra details for the title before you borrow it).

Tap CHECK OUT to borrow a title. If a title is currently checked out, this button will be replaced with a HOLD button.

Your title is now checked out, but not downloadedTo set up automatic downloading, tap the menu, then SETTINGS, then AUTO-DOWNLOAD TITLES.

 

5. Download & Enjoy

Tap READ / PLAY on a checked out title to start the download. Tap the menu, then CHECKED OUT to see titles you’ve checked out. Downloaded items will say DOWNLOADED below the cover. Tap on the cover to start reading.

These instructions are for Kindle Fire only. Your Kindle must be able to use apps in order to use OneClickDigital. OneClickDigital is not available for Kindle e-Ink readers.

The RBdigital website for ebooks/audiobooks acts almost exactly like the app.

This option requires a constant internet connection. Titles will NOT be downloaded to your device for offline use. It’s the best option for desktop computers, or laptop computers when you have WiFi. If you want to read on the go with a smartphone or tablet, it’s best to use one of the other options above.

 

1. Go to the RBdigital website

Click the link above, or visit berlinpecklibct.rbdigital.com. You may want to bookmark this page for easy access. Previous OneClickDigital users should use their OneClickDigital account information.

 

2. Search and browse

The RBdigital website for magazines is very similar to the old Zinio site.

This option requires a constant internet connection. Titles will NOT be downloaded to your device for offline use. It’s the best option for desktop computers, or laptop computers when you have WiFi. If you want to read on the go with a smartphone or tablet, it’s best to use one of the other options above.

 

1. Go to the RBdigital magazine website

Click the link above, or visit rbdigital.com/50emagazine/service/zinio/landing/. You may want to bookmark this page for easy access.

 

2. Register or sign in

Click LOGIN and enter your email/barcode/username. Previous Zinio users should use their Zinio account information.

 

3. Search and browse

  • If you already know what you’re looking for, click SEARCH and type in a title, name, or keyword.
  • If you’d like to browse by genre, click the ALL GENRES drop-town menu, and pick a genre.

 

4. Borrow

To borrow a magazine, click the + icon next to the title. Or, click the cover to see more information, then click the blue CHECKOUT button.

To see older issues of a magazine, click the most recent issue, then scroll down to see older issues. Click SHOW MORE BACK ISSUES for more.

To see all of the titles you have borrowed, click MY COLLECTION.

 

5. Enjoy

Immediately after you borrow a title, click START READING.

Otherwise, click MY COLLECTION and simply click the magazine cover you’d like to read.
