Kindles at Your Library

The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library has Kindles as part of our collection! The Library has an 8″ Kindle Fire tablet, a 6″ Kindle 4, and a 6″ Kindle Keyboard. The Kindles come pre-loaded with over 40 popular titles, including The Girl on the TrainDivergentAll the Light We Cannot See, and Orange Is the New Black. See below for a full list of titles. Our Kindle Fire tablet also comes preloaded with some great apps like Twitter, Facebook, Pandora, and NYTimes!

You are free to read any of the pre-loaded and use any of the apps; the Library will remove your personal information from the device upon return. You can read additional titles through the OverDrive app. If you’re having any trouble using the Kindle or are looking for some tips, just book a librarian!

The Kindles will go out for 3 weeks at a time, and you can place holds on them. They will not be renewable. The Kindles must be returned to the Reference desk, and cannot be returned in the book drop. There is a $1 per-day late fee, with a maximum of $10. A $10 fine will be assessed if a Kindle is returned in the book drop. If you have any questions, give us a call at 860-828-7126! We would love to talk.
