Library CLOSED until April 1st

To contain the spread of COVID-19, the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library WILL BE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC starting Tuesday, March 17th. At this time, we aim to re-open on April 1st, but that may be subject to change. Please note the following information:

• All library programs and meetings are cancelled during the closure.

• Library staff is available to virtually assist patrons by phone at 860-828-7125 or via email at library@berlinpeck.org, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. No service will be available on Saturdays during this time.

• Our book drop will be CLOSED during this time. Please hold on to all your library materials. All late fees will be waived during the closure. Due dates will default to May 1st.

• Access thousands of digital resources for free via your Berlin-Peck library card. If you don’t have a Berlin-Peck Memorial Library card, get a digital card to access our online resources here: http://lci.iii.com/selfreg~S3/selfregBP. You will immediately receive a temporary account number providing access to Overdrive/Libby books and more. In 12 to 48 hours or less we’ll email you a card number that will give full access to all online resources from your phone, tablet, or laptop. This card number will be good until we return to full services. At that time please bring proof of residency, such as a photo I.D., utility bill, or other official mail, to the library. We will then provide you with your permanent card.

• We have a wide array of digital offerings available for instant download 24/7, including e-books, audiobooks, magazines, music, comics, music and movies. We also have online language learning programs, career assistance, and Consumer Reports.

We wish everyone good health during this time and look forward to resuming normal service as soon as possible.
