Ninth Annual Gingerbread Contest

Drop off your homemade gingerbread house for display, and help us pick a winner!
Gingerbread houses may be submitted to the “Child” or “Adult/Family/Group” category. Creations must be constructed primarily of edible materials, and bases must not exceed 24″ x 24″. All entries must have a card attached to the underside of the base that includes the name, address and phone number of the contestant. 
Online voting will open on December 17. To vote, visit berlinpeck.org or visit us on Facebook! 

Drop off your gingerbread creation:
Friday, December 14 – Monday, December 17 (Closed Sunday)

Vote online or in the library:
Monday, December 17 – Thursday, December 20

Winners announced:
Friday, December 21

 

THE RULES:

  1. Bring in your creation any time between Friday, December 14th and Monday, December 17th. Please note: we are closed on Sunday.
  2. All entries must have a card attached to the underside of the base that includes the name, address and phone number of the contestant. Please also specify category: “Child” (an individual child or groups of children, ages 10 and younger) or “Other”.
  3. All gingerbread projects will remain on display throughout the week of December 17th. All items may be picked up on Saturday, December 22nd, unless special arrangements have been made. Any items left behind will be donated or discarded.
  4. Creations must be constructed primarily of edible materials and icing. Gingerbread kits may be used.
  5. Bases for the projects must not exceed 24” by 24”. No electricity may be used.
  6. Spread the word: vote for your favorite gingerbread house. Library patrons can come in and vote for their favorite gingerbread house between Monday, December 17th and Thursday, December 20th. Visit the information desk for viewer’s choice ballots. This year we will also offer online voting through a link on our Facebook page. Online voting will take place from December 17th -20th.
