Random Acts of Kindness Week

Food for Fines

All week: Saturday, February 10-17. In celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Week, the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library will have a Food for Fines program. From Saturday, February 10 through Saturday, February 17th, every non-perishable, non-expired food item donated can be exchanged for $4 off in library fines. All items will be donated to the Berlin Food Pantry.

Please note: Food for Fines does not apply to damaged or lost library materials, or items that have already been billed for replacement. We cannot accept home-canned items, items that are past their expiration dates or are dented/damaged, or items with barcodes that have been lined or scratched through. This Food for Fines program is for Berlin-Peck Memorial Library cardholders only.

Saturday, February 10, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Library Board Room. Celebrate kindness! Create a homemade Valentine’s card or a thank you note for a special person using our craft supplies. While supplies last. All ages, children through adults, are welcome to create a card.

Saturday, February 17, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Kindness Rocks Project was created to spread inspiration and a moment of kindness for unsuspecting recipients through random inspirational rocks dropped along the way. Drop into the library to paint your own unique rock and then take it with you to place in the community to spread some kindness. Supplies included while they last.
