BPLH Card Notes record that he was the son of Anthony. Phineas was a captain in the militia. He and his wife, Ruth, had 8 children. All four living sons fought in the Revolutionary War. Phineas tried to volunteer, but he was too old [in his 60's]. He made his will in 1788; it was proved on 04 JAN 1791. One Phineas lived at south end of Stanley Street in present New Britain prior to 1758. |
