Ann died unexpectedly at home at age 60. She had resided in Kensington since 1970.
She was formerly employed as a Medical Technologist at New Britain General Hospital.
She was a member of the Calvary Christian Center; a founding member of the Berlin Association for Special Education; and aalso served as a Hospice Volunteer.
Ann was survived by her husband, Carroll Austin; two sons, Scott Austin and his wife, Cheryl of New Britain and Timothy Austin of Bloomfield; a daughter, Susan Austin and her partner Julie of Glencoe, MD; three sisters, Jane Nichols of New Britain, Sarah Nichols of Kensington and Grace Nichols of Tipton, Iowa; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and calling hours were at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home in New Britain. Memorial donations to Calvary Christian Center Building Fund in New Britain.
